The American doctor, Andrew Taylor Still (1828-1917) founded the healing
method of osteopathy. It is based on the following three pillars:
1. Skeletal System (parietal)
2. Internal Organs (visceral)
3. Nervous System (cranio-sacral)
In Osteopathy, a holistic approach is taken and the patient is examined with
the hands to activate the self-healing process. The structure and function
of the system is thereby regulated and also seen as an inseparable unity
of the body. Osteopathy can be applied in all medical areas.
