Yoga Therapy combines classical traditional yoga with the more modern western elements of functional anatomy, fascial therapy and joint therapy. In therapeutic yoga we adapt yoga positions to suit the individual and their particular symptoms and conditions.
Yoga Therapy is a holistic approach encompassing body, mind, spirit and breath. It teaches us to be fully present in the moment, to feel the strength and comfort in silence and to practise the state of ease and contemplation with the help of our breath. The self-healing energies are activated through mindfulness and raised awareness of the body.
Yoga Therapy is used:
- for structural problems including back pain [neck, chest, lumbar), hip, knee and shoulder pain, intervertebral disc problems and scoliosis.
- for internal problems including cardiac disease, hypertension and digestion problems
- for chronic problems e.g. insomnia, obesity, migrane, tinnitus
Yoga Therapy is offered both in a small group (maximum 6-7 participants) as well as individually.
